Our Cause:
Simone Paulche Ministries, Inc.
Simone Paulche Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit organization with the purpose of providing education and life services for impoverished children in Haiti. The organization is a registered 501(c) (3), incorporated in the state of New Jersey in May of 2013.
The organization’s mission and guiding principles are “to ensure that Haitian children living in poverty are afforded an appropriate level of education, have adequate access to healthcare, and to provide advocacy for their basic human rights.”
Simone Paulche Ministries, Inc. plans to carry out its mission by building, maintaining, and operating schools to serve the people in the region. The organization hopes by inspiring breakthrough change in the current cultural approach towards the care of Haitian children, coupled with the substantive enhancements in infrastructure, this program will be better positioned to yield a more appropriate, sustainable, and lasting economic impact in the lives of the children in the region.
In September of 2015, the organization opened its first school in a commune of La Gonave called “Anse-à-Galets”, adjacent to the Old Wesleyan Hospital. The school is Christian faith based and focused on early education, pre-kindergarten to kindergarten. The school operated from 8 am to 12 pm and served 80 children while employing nine people.
Today, the school now serves 150 children, provides classes up to 5th grade and employs 15 people. The organization has outgrown its current school location and has broken ground on the construction of a new building.
The order of priority for funding are as follows:
-
Salaries for the staff.
-
Food & water, including cooking supplies, for the children & staff.
-
School supplies.
-
Construction of the new building.
Thank you for your support, it is greatly appreciated.
